There will be few memories in everyone’s life, which will bring happiness and joy when thought about. Similarly one such good thing in my life is “Kannaiah Bakery” in Hosur.  This bakery is very famous in hosur and have been serving Hosur for more than 25 years. I love the Vegetable Puffs, Sweet puffs, Masala bun. 

It is not just  about the taste they serve. But every bite of the it, will take me back to my childhood, holding my father’s hand and eating the puffs, with pieces of it all over me and my mother wiping it off my face.  The best past is the memories mixed with the taste makes it more tastier.  My father used to tell me that , the owner of the shop knows me from childhood and have been very kind to us. There is connection to this shop right from womb, where my mom had a craving to eat the puffs during her pregnancy. It came as a family tradition , and I too had the puffs when I was pregnant.  I’m waiting to go to Hosur and have a bite of it and allow my thought wander around for sometime…

I see such kinds of adds very common in all the media ( TV, Radio, Internet, MMS, SMS.. almost all) I always think is it so easy to get the few extra pounds of your body so easily. Then why are so people roaming out with so many extra pounds.

Nowadays I almost see everyone talking about dieting, loosing weight , about their frame. I don’t know what happened all of a sudden. Even when we go out for a party , we can see some crazy bees saying , I don’t eat potatoes, low carb , low fat , 0% fat. Then I thought I should say something to everyone or at least to who ever read this.

When you are taking up any ‘As seen on TV’ course, please do consult a dietitian, as I have heard of many people falling sick after all those crazy ideas. After all loosing weight is not more important than losing health. Lose weight gradually, any sudden decrease in the weight will lead to so many changes in the body cycle , which may not be good too!!

When you are into some dieting structure, when someone invites you for a party please take it easy. Don’t refrain from tasting stuffs. I have seen so many people shouting out , that they don’t eat this and that, and make others feel guilty of eating them. Imagine when someone says I don’t eat much, it may in other words mean ( it may not actually.. but looks like) see how much you are eating. So this may cause embarrassing situation for all. If you dont want to eat anything atleast pretend to be eating and praise the food. So that you make a wonderful day for organizer as well as for your friends. Isn’t this cool..

The calorie conscious is what I call the Crazy dieting. Everyone looks at the calories listed in the side of every item you purchase. One day when we went to a shopping mall, I was looking at people looking at the calorie chart for almost everything, may be even for shoe !!!!..

I would share a tip that I know from my doctor friend. If you need to reduce weight. The amount of calories you take per day should be less than the amount of calories you expend per day. Which means that, for example if you take 100 calories , you have to spend at least 150 calories , so that 50 calories of work will be taken from the fat stored in your body. This way you will be able to create a perfect balance between the energy and health. So if you need to spend more calories than you eat , the best and the only way is to do exercise.

So always food is not our enemy. It is just few days we had loved the food so much and few other days we hate it so much. Instead why don’t we create a easy mechanism where in we love food and as well as we don’t love it so much so that it doesn’t makes you suffer.

After all life is about enjoying every single thing. Enjoy as it goes , but do have a control.

So do exercise, eat healthy and be happy!!!
